With that out of the way, let’s talk about me! Describing a person by what they do is a very common category error. I could tell you I’m quite decent at chess, or that I quit magic in 2019. But that doesn’t really tell much about who I am. There are a few heuristics that are probably not so bad, but for the most part identity is something you have to intuit.
