FRAM (Functional Resonance Analysis Method) is a graphical tool for demonstrating how a process is done through multiple functions and activities. Although it initially developed as a systemic accident analysis method, it can be used for analysing any process (design steps, task management, etc.). FRAM has been established based on the principle of ‘The equivalence of Successes and Failures’ in the way that they happen for the same reason. Therefore, to find out how something goes wrong, we need to understand how things work correctly. Moreover, the relationships between activities are not limited to a causal link, and different aspects of an activity should be considered to reach a thorough comprehension of a process.
