no, this isn’t a poem. i thought about making it one, but i think that might be a little cringy so maybe not? i guess i’m an adult now. that’s cool or something but also a good opportunity to reflect. so i decided to write about 18 lessons from being 18? yay! if ur gonna skim, maybe read 7, 9, and 19 preferentially:). some accompaniment music: stop defining yourself by what others expect of you. i mean this in multiple ways. first, it’s really easy to classify how you feel people think of you after you’ve spent a bit of time with them but i implore you not to. instead, focus on how you treat them. if you’re kind, then that’s what matters! also, if they don’t vibe with you regardless, that’s just a personality difference. just because somebody doesn’t love you doesn’t mean you are not worth anything. slowly the world will expect you to have your life more and more figured out. don’t listen. i mean, sure, figure out your life, but don’t worry about on what timeline. everybody has a diffe
