Mathematical Logic | Department of Mathematics
Effective Fall 2025, the Department of Mathematics is adopting new course numbering: Math 32 becomes Math 3; Math 1A becomes Math 51, and Math 1B becomes Math 52. We have a large active group of researchers in several core areas of mathematical logic, including model theory, recursion theory and set theory. A number of members of the logic group belong to the Group in Logic and Methodology of Science, (link is external) which runs a bi-weekly colloquium and has its own graduate students.
