I would wager the US got a better deal out of Texas than Alaska, though both have paid for themselves many times over. Regardless, you are welcome in the Union. The stars wouldn't align without you. He's from Texas, how dare you expect him to leave his country sized state! just came in here to remind everyone that if you split Alaska in two the two halves would make Texas the 3rd largest state. we don't really care which is why this question is never asked about
