Can we grow crops without photosynthesis to make vertical farming stack up?

The Manufacturing Abundance team at ARIA has been incubating an early idea we are referring to as lights-out agriculture: crops that are grown with no reliance on photosynthesis, and whether that could unlock a new generation of vertical farming that is less constrained by climate and geography.
