AI is reshaping our world. Without rapid action, the result will be immense power concentration and chaotic destabilization. However, AI can also be harnessed to support and reimagine democracy. We believe that high-quality deliberative democratic processes for decision-making on AI (and with AI) can provide a path forward, mitigating both kinds of risk—and enable us to maintain democracy in a world increasingly dominated by AI.
