Only Say It If You Mean It. If you tell someone you’ll do… | by Mia | Jul, 2024 | Medium
One of the most frustrating and painful experiences is hearing someone say something they don’t truly mean. It leaves a trail of confusion, disappointment, and broken promises. Why say things if you don’t mean them? If you don’t mean what you say, it’s time to stop saying it. We’ve all been there. Someone tells us they’ll be there for us, that they’ll call, that they care. And then, the next minute, they’ve forgotten, moved on, leaving us hanging with false hope. These empty promises can sting more than silence. When you say things without meaning them, you’re not just letting someone down — you’re eroding their trust in you. Why do people do this? Sometimes, it’s out of a desire to please, to avoid conflict, or to say what they think others want to hear. 376 376 3 A dreamer ☁️ Mia Mia Mia Mia Janis Groß in Short. Sweet.
