Honestly, it’s because I don’t even know. I don’t know if language exists for what I am feeling. Maybe I am here with you in the same room, and then in an instant, I am on the other side of the world. I am taken to Gaza by a thought, a text, an email, an image, a memory, a tightening in my chest, tears that unexpectedly roll down my cheeks. I exist in two worlds right now- both places at once and seemingly nowhere at the same time. L
