Everyone in my life thinks I’m strong except for me. It’s kind of comical how unilaterally true that is. Early in our friendship D told me, “I love how competent you are. I basically can’t think of a task that you can’t do,” and I beamed because it was such a meaningful compliment. But lately I’ve been thinking that it’s kind of a curse.
