Karri: I’m not sure if the average American tourist would notice this, but I feel it’s more peaceful in Finland, even in cities. Streets and cars feel quieter. Culturally, there is a certain respect for other people around you. If possible, you don’t want to make loud noises, invade their space, or disturb them. Nature is always close. The Baltic Sea is also small, not an ocean that roars. When I go there, I get this inner peace quickly. In Helsinki, you can go to a public park and enjoy the sound of the trees.
