This week the UK B Corp community celebrates 1,500 UK businesses becoming B Corp certified, an increase of 50% in less than a year. It’s a timely reminder of the momentum of this important movement. In recent months, segments of the UK media have pushed the familiar refrain that the sole purpose of business is to create financial returns for shareholders.
