How can I learn to analyze and understand movies better? : r/movies
The goal of /r/Movies is to provide an inclusive place for discussions and news about films with major releases. Submissions should be for the purpose of informing or initiating a discussion, not just to entertain readers. Most of the time I can easily tell whether or not I like a movie, but usually not why I liked it. I'll watch a movie and then see other people talk about it and they have to much more insight into it than I do. It seems like I'm missing a great deal of what the filmmaker wanted me to see (which is probably why most of my favorite movies are comedies/action-adventure movies, i.e. movies that aren't "deep" like dramas are).
