That throughDecree No. 278/08was declared "Year of the Bicentennial of the May Revolution" to the year 2010, creating within the scope of the GENERAL SECRETARIAT of the PRESIDENCY OF THE NATION, the EXECUTIVE SECRETARY OF THE COMMEMORATION OF THE BICENTENNIAL OF THE REVOLUTION OF MAY 1810 - 2010 whose purpose is to implement specific actions related to the organization and execution of the commemorative celebrations of the Bicentennial. That, in this context, it is the intention of the NATIONAL EXECUTIVE POWER to declare María Eva DUARTE de PERON "WOMAN OF THE BICENTENNIAL". That, also, on March 8, the "International Women's Day" is celebrated, which recalls the struggle of women for their participation, on an equal footing with men, in society and in their full development as people.
