It feels like far less than 4 years ago that I was writing my last blog post on changing jobs when I went from one orange logo to another. A lot has changed in the four years since I joined Cloudflare - the rise of generative AI has been the biggest by far. While my time at Cloudflare has been rewarding, it's time for a change. In a couple of week's I will be starting my new role as a Senior Software Engineer at Stripe on their Usage Based Billing (UBB) team, working out of their Seattle office. I found my role at Stripe almost by accident one day scrolling thru LinkedIn. Alec Peterson and I worked together from time to time back when I was a Call Leader at AWS; a few years after I left AWS, Alec did as well and is now the Head of Engineering. Through the algorithm of LinkedIn, Alec's post sharing a job posting on one of his teams surfaced in my feed, and the rest was history.
