I’ve talked about Mystery Hunt at length, from the perspective of a participant, the perspective of a hunt runner, and the perspective of a community member. Here I’ll take the perspective of a critic, or perhaps a scholar. I’m going to put my CMS hat⁠01 on and think about the Mystery Hunt from a media studies viewpoint, grounding some thoughts I have about the Hunt through comparison with other forms of media.
