A Shakespeare classic is returning to Broadway with award-winning screen stars. “Romeo + Juliet” will receive a fall 2024 Main Stem revival headlined by Emmy Award winner Kit Connor and Golden Globe Award winner Rachel Zegler in the title roles. Tony Award winner Sam Gold will direct the production, which will feature original music by Grammy Award winner Jack Antonoff and movement by Tony winner Sonya Tayeh. The revival is being produced by Seaview. “Romeo + Juliet” is Shakespeare’s tragic romance of two Italian youths who come from feuding families. The play’s most recent Broadway staging, a 2013 revival starring Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad, was directed by David Leveaux.
