An optimist and a pragmatist waged a war in my mind this past week. I know, that sounds like the beginning of a bad joke. But let me explain what I mean. I’m not proud of this, but I probably go on social media like TikTok almost every day of the week. I’m sure a lot of kids my age do. At this point, participating on social media feels more like a fact than a choice. Just the other day, I woke up around noon, picked up my phone and began my routine meandering through the For You page.
