Arts and Crafts Day Camp Director - Capital Camps

● Work as part of a team to deliver a safe, fun, creative environment for day camp participants each and every day ● Assist in the direct supervision and mentorship of camp counsellors ● Build positive relationships with participants, parents, guardians, co-workers ● Liaise & communicate with parents who have questions/concerns regarding the program and working with the Capital Camps supervisor to resolve any issues Successful candidates will: ● Have experience participating in and/or teaching the discipline their camp focuses on (sports) ● Be encouraging, spontaneous and creative ● Believe in the power of camp ● Hold current CPR/First Aid ● Be a registered member with the Ontario College of Teachers (asset) or currently enrolled in childcare / recreation studies programs ● Have 3 + years of programming/childcare experience ● Strong knowledge of age-appropriate activities for children ages 4 to 12 years ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ● Demonstrated leadership skills
