The Master’s in Anthropology and Ethnology at Université Paris Cité offers students the chance to learn about the fundamentals of anthropology, research methodologies and ethnography (fieldwork). In the first year, students will learn about social anthropology relating to major themes such as kinship, religion, politics, health, material culture, and contemporary areas such as well-being, conflict, art and the senses. They will also have the opportunity to participate in an introductory course dedicated to interviewing people (one week of fieldwork). The second year of the program allows students to specialize their research according to the chosen theme and area. Over the two years, an entire semester from January to May will be spent in the field. Teach students fundamental anthropology research methodologies.
