Welcome to the Neighborhood™ : r/nyc
You know, I read your comment, and thought it was probably an overstatement. So I went in and read the article, and boy was I wrong. I didn’t realize I could hate anything as much as I hate this project. “This is not living recklessly, but it can be living breathlessly” I lived near SF for a few years. That city is flooded with people who think and talk like this. It was insufferable. Thats reason number 1 I left SF. I found the tech culture fucking insufferable. When my ex got a job at LinkedIn I was pumped for her till I started meeting her coworkers and spouses. It sucks too because there's a lot to love about the Bay. But the people there are so up their own ass that it's hard to enjoy. Oakland had similar problems but I enjoyed it a lot more than SF. That city is flooded with people who think and talk like this. So is this one lol Yea idk what the point of this "article" is. 'Group of pretentious friends talks amongst each other' isn't as juicy a headline for rage bait I guess Thi
