What is an Interdisciplinary/Multidisciplinary Designer?
Design is everywhere. From the environments we live and interact within, to fast-moving consumer goods such as the shampoo bottle (and its label) you decant from in your morning shower, to the newspaper you read on your tablet (or if analogue...paper), to the coffee cup you drink from. Virtual environments, smartwatch and phone interfaces, shoes, clothing, vehicle controls, their tyres. Everything has had a designer involved in its creation. The designer's role is critical in this human-centric world you and I live in. So, the act of designing is a means of facilitating interaction between the user (whether this is human, animal or machine) and an object or environment.
