This how-to guide is all about evaluating design, and a big part of that is making sure you’re equipped with the vocabulary to do so. Let's kick things off with this video: In this guide, we’re going to learn ways to boost your design vocabulary to do things like: We’ll go through questions to help you evaluate designs you encounter in the future, all based on the principles you’ve learned about so far. Keep note of the types of discussions you feel may resonate at this point of the course. When approaching a design with the intention of providing feedback, the first thing that comes to mind is likely the aesthetic impression. For the purposes of this course, we would like to define these sorts of observations as brand design. Your first impressions may be related to brand design, which is what people tend to most readily notice. But brand design is not equivalent to user experience design.
