I often remind myself that Inside Out is a movie made for kids. Maybe because I was 9 years old when I first watched it. Back then, it was just a fun movie about colorful characters inside a girl’s head; Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust. And guess what? my favorite is Joy! I loved her. I admired her sparkle and the way she made everything feel brighter. I feel like she was the only important emotion because she made Riley happy. It wasn’t until I got older that I started to understand. My inner child feels like it was just yesterday. Things flew by faster than I thought they would. Now, I am an 18-year-old grown-up. Where did all the time go? I don’t know. One moment, I was a kid, laughing at Joy’s antics, and the next, I’m dealing with all the stuff that comes with growing up. Life moved quickly, and in the blink of an eye, the world became more complicated. I was excited when I heard Inside Out 2 is coming out in 2024. Who said this is just for kids?
