I’m wondering about why writing things down helps you think about them even though writing is vastly inferior to thinking as a medium for information.
People often talk about how writing well is useful because it helps clarify your thoughts on a topic. This always seemed a little strange to me. I already think mostly in language! 1 It's even pretty good language most of the time! 2 And thoughts are way more flexible than text, as I'm sure anyone who's tried to write something complex would agree.
