I’ve always believed in the Disney kind of love. the meant-to-bes, the grand gestures, the happy-ever-afters. Growing up, I thought real love should feel like a spark that instantly rewires your life, and it’s fate that brought us to meet. And a few months later, we’d be saying goodbye ( usually through a video call, separated by countries and time zones ). Almost all of my relationships ended in long distance. And the reason was always the same: neither of us would move. I used to say. “He’s just not the one for me.” A Disney princess’s perfect conclusion to an imperfect ending. To some extend it is true, something about each of us just will not make things work.
