Legitimately, if that's what you'd do, then I think what you really need is a vacation. Since when is taking some time to do nothing but relax and recuperate a sin? Why is it considered to be such a bad thing anyway? Know what I mean? Yup. If I suddenly had money to cover living expenses, I would take… a few months probably to do nothing. Just rest and recuperate from a decade of chronic stress. But then I’d get bored. And I’d find productive things to do with my time, either for myself or for others or both. And if ubi “only” covered the essentials, then I’d happily get a part time job to make some extra income to buy luxuries. The insane thing is believing that rest and relaxation like this is not worth paying people. Because when people are relaxing and doing hobbies, they are also spending money and stimulating the economy. Like the whole "they'd lay around and do nothing" argument seems like it straight up imagines people just sitting idly in a liminal space doing literally nothin
