Autumn is for the romantics - by Chris - ~interrupted~
It’s the crunch beneath my feet and the cool breeze on my face. That’s when I know it’s Autumn, and that’s when the romantics come out of the woodwork. Reading classic literature, wearing cozy sweaters, rich browns, warm yellows, earthy greens, and deep oranges. The air changes too. It’s crisp, it enters and leaves my body with ease, as if my body itself has opened itself up to the changing world around me. Last week I wrote about romanticizing everything. I failed to mention that, for me, doing so is much easier during this time of year. I think about When Harry Met Sally, or Little Women, and a warmness washes over me. I recently read a wonderful piece about the October Theory. In it, hannah wrote about the idea of the universe “conspiring” to reconnect you with a person of the past.
