People forget words mid-sentence; cry in their car between errands; self-diagnose, then self-soothe with TikTok; treat ChatGPT as their dearest friend; treat their friends like shit; habit stack juice cleanses; scream at strangers on planes; post angry comments on articles that depict wild dogs eating corpses. Honestly, we’re all kind of losing it. The air feels heavy with collective malaise. Negative emotions are at record highs everywhere. So many of us are adrift, meandering, as if we’re searching for something we’ve misplaced somewhere along our lives—attention, purpose, a shared reality, maybe.
