To friends: I’m looking for a research engineer to work with me for a short, intense sprint to get important work over the line. If successful, it is a guaranteed career highlight and story for your grandchildren. Two days ago, I saw something that made me want to cry. This is the first time that anyone has created high-resolution images of the brain like this. Two days ago, we were the first to show functional changes in the brain. (Our goal isn't to publish, but if it were, this would be in Nature.) I've dreamed about interfacing with the brain for years, and believe that increasing human expressivity is one of the most beautiful things you can do. To see an image like this and think that we might be close... oh god. I'm confident we have some of the highest-quality brain data in the world, and what's next is to decode thoughts and prototype BCI experiences. I'm looking around intently for a collaborator to work with me and very quickly make it a reality. There's a real dream here. I
