In reflecting on my study abroad, I began to look through my writing over the past few months to see how I’ve grown and pick out the revelations I made. As I noticed some common themes and questions emerging from my most recent posts, I began to ask, why do I write about what I write about? Actually, why do I write at all? This post serves to answer these fundamental questions, while tying it to my insights from the year: Seek endogenous growth. Harness positive externalities/group synergies. Learn by doing. Start doing and don’t stop (incrementalism and the importance of the initial step). Process over product. Because process leads to product. Motivation and discipline are a feedback loop.
