I first noticed her when I started hearing repeated comments of "God bless you". I then connected that to the visual of a woman handing something out to people down the bus. I noticed myself clenching up a bit. We sat on the very last row of the bus and I braced for the inevitable interaction – I'd like not to take a pamphlet if I could, but at the same time, I'd like to be "nice" and not turn them down either. As she worked row by row in the crowded bus (we were in the last row), remarkably, she skipped us. While I was pondering why she may have skipped us, she turned around and started to call for the attention of everyone on the bus, and proceeded to give what was basically a sermon.
