Just noticed this blog post, wondering how true is your experience with Datadog beyond the scale and what are alternatives people are considering? https://www.infracloud.io/blogs/datadog-alternative-when-to-move-out/ Datadog is expensive but I’m a big fan of their tooling. I would recommend them over New Relic or Sumo all day. I've got experience with a business at scale and as it has grown up over the years, and we transitioned from a self-managed stack to Datadog (fairly low cost) and later our datadog costs ballooned as we both increased datadog adoption within the org and grew our business. We got sticker shock on the bill after one of the ballooning events and took the time to research alternatives (including going back to self-managed). We found that datadog is still actually fairly affordable all things considered.
