Not dog friendly!! Too sharp of rocks. Good trail. Very rocky. Not crowded. Tunnel falls was beautiful! Very nice but very easy. Hiked just a bit past Tunnel Falls to a nice spot by the river. In areas, Doug firs are getting a start. Good to see. Easy hike overall, maybe moderate due to the distance and some exposed areas. went to twister falls and back. trail is in great shape thanks to the efforts of several volunteer crews. thanks guys! terrain had more rocky patches than expected and watch out for all the woolly bear caterpillars. I used to call Dog Mountain the Walmart of trails…. this is now THE Walmart of trails. Lots of people, rescues in full swing, groups with no water, dogs that had no business being on such a rocky trail, you name it. If I had to guess the easy access from the freeway and relative close distance to the metro lures a lot of people here. Just over a 12 mile out and back with ~ 10 waterfalls.
