I’ve been doing life tracking for around 10 years, and this post is looking back at some things I learned from the data (since my previous retrospective in 2017). I also review various productivity / effectiveness systems I have tried and which ones have stuck around after 10 years. I analyze this data annually in my new year review posts, and this post will look at longer-term trends. These are the main types of tracking that I do: My usual process is: export metrics from Oura, add them to the life tracking sheet, then visualize and analyze the data using python scripts (which I’m happy to share).
