I went to Lake Tahoe this past weekend. I think the alpine air and crystal water must have healed me somehow. My skin was clear, cortisol puffiness decreasing (now back after two long days in the office, of course), I could think more clearly. Quite the expensive spa trip, but the little white limited edition Gucci Fiat 500 (yes, this is a real car) that we rented would have been worth all of it. I’ve grown rather attached to curling up in the tiny back seat as it swayed with every bump. I was recommended the book The Charisma Myth by A one morning, when she gave me advice on how to exude gravitas. This uncertainty (insecurity?) of mine came from feedback I got last week — put in kind words — that my age showed when I pitched my company. I’ve always prided myself on always authentically being myself; vibrant, vulnerable, bubbly.
