after last semester, where i monk moded (rushed sigma chi, worked a part-time job at a16z for 20 hours a week, took two intensive cs classes, went to the gym 4x, dorm room fund, long distance relationship, etc.) i realized something very important. i was dying for some actual real connection in my life. i was locking myself away to minmax work as much as i could, and then got my social kicks through my work and my frat without bothering to do the real things that actually led to true connections - being vulnerable, available, helpful, present… i was just thinking about rushing between point A to B for months. i found myself really, really in a bad place over the winter break. i felt like i was living a fraudulent, empty life where i just protected myself as much as i could, didn’t take many risks, and just tried to keep compounding on what i already had, over and over again. i’ve struggled with various mental conditions for my entire life and this break only intensified it as i got cov
