Women in Innovation Fund | Health Innovation Exchange
Women in Innovation Fund (WiNFUND) is co-founded by Reckitt and HIEx along with the Kofi Annan Foundation. Women form 70% of the global health workforce and 90% of the frontline health workers are female. Female health entrepreneurs are building on their unique insights in developing solutions that can be transformative for healthcare access. However, less than 2% of global venture capital goes to women-led enterprises. Launched in 2022 with a focus on Africa, WiNFUND welcomed applications from women-led health startups in seven countries: Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, and Uganda. From 300+ applications spanning healthcare, we have shortlisted 50 entrepreneurs poised to democratize healthcare access and have invested in 6 of them. WiNFUND remains committed to empowering women-led health startups and catalyzing grassroots impact. Follow our social channels for updates on the finalists and join us in celebrating these unstoppable women shaping healthcare innovation.
