Katherine Bode is a professor of literary and textual studies at the Australian National University. She has published extensively on data curation and investigation in literary studies, including in books such as Reading by Numbers (2012) and A World of Fiction (2018) and in journal articles in MLQ, Book History, New Literary History, and Critical Inquiry. Her current book project explores the potential of computational methods for understanding the practice of reading and vice versa. Lauren M. E. Goodlad is Distinguished Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Rutgers, New Brunswick, where she is also chair of the interdisciplinary Critical AI @ Rutgers initiative and editor of Critical AI. Her ongoing work on the ontology of genre and place in nineteenth-century fiction includes a recent essay on Wuthering Heights in Victorian Literature and Culture. Her essay, reviews, and other writing on AI-related topics have appeared in Critical Inquiry, Public Books, PMLA, and MLQ.
