Overview – The Collective Intelligence Project

Collective intelligence is how we set and execute on our priorities. We have many mechanisms for doing this: markets and votes are the most obvious, but we also have various systems of representation, budgeting processes, corporate strategy, bureaucracies and institutions broadly, regulation and tax incentives, etc. We have additional mechanisms for information gathering beyond direct execution: polls, prediction markets, public fora for discussion, even writing and publishing of various kinds.
