How do you do layers well - appealing to a section of super-fans and not annoying everyone else?
Yet again, I used “Ted Lasso” last week to drive home an example at work, so thought I had to share it. :-) So I love the Apple TV show for many, many reasons. Subscribed For example, one of my favorite scenes in Ted Lasso is the “practice scene” It works so much for me because of what it references - the Allen Iverson interview I remember watching the scene for the first time and thinking “Whoa, that’s a crazy reference. Cool they did that.” There’s tons of other references in the show. But later when I was talking to a friend who’s not a basketball fan about the show, he had no idea what that conversation was referring to, but still liked that scene.
