Why I Can’t Be Your Co-Founder

From a 5% online store discount to trying to “help” a prince in Egypt, most of us receive multiple spam emails every day. An email that’s almost as pointless is a cold email offering me a co-founder role in a new startup. Don’t get me wrong, I’m flattered that someone would want me as part of their team, but these are coming from people I have never met. They have no idea who I really am or what my strengths and weaknesses are. They are offering a complete stranger (me) a piece of something they plan on spending years building.
