Governance decisions made by leaders of a younger generation do not always carry with them the wisdom of the elders, who have seen and done much in their lives. Decision-makers of older generations, in turn, have an incentive to prioritize short-term interests with little regard for actions that ripple into a future they will never live through. There is no one who has both the experience of a full turn of the wheel of history
