What honeybee behaviors or emotions have you seen that seem especially intelligent, adaptive, irrational, or surprising? Is it something that you have heard about before? What are some practices that contribute to the physical wellbeing of honeybees? What are some physical challenges for honeybees today (especially in relation to climate)? When and why do your bees seem to swarm or begin to make preparations to swarm? What are any observations that you had of the hive before swarming? Did you ever think they would swarm but didn’t? Did you take measures to prevent swarming and did they work? What did it look like when the bees swarmed? What honeybee folklore have you heard (and do you believe it?) Are bees good at predicting the weather as described in folklore? What other predictions do bees make, and are they generally accurate?
