It might seem a thing improper to try to philosophize about love, that thing infamous for robbing us of reason (if we were not bereft of it already). That fame I think unearned, though: love provides reasons of its own that might run counter to other reasons but is not for that irrational and likewise I think love capable of being philosophized about. Even if someone agrees that love can be philosophized about, the subtitle of this post might strike many as immediately wrong; after all, don’t asexual people exist who engage in romantic relationships?
