Last year, I picked up basketball as a hobby (I talk more about it along with some life lessons in my very first blog post here). I’ve been at it for over half a year now. But wow—staying consistent was hard at first. And this wasn’t even my first rodeo with basketball. I played a bit back in high school. But coming back to it now? Totally different beast. Subscribe if your list of “failed” hobbies is getting a little too long 😅 As a kid - a little bit of practice, joining a class, have a few friends tag along, would have sufficed. However, adults are wired differently. Not only do we have less time + more adult priorities to worry about, our brains don’t pick up things quite as fast anymore. The initial learning curve, where we have to learn very consciously, can be a huge pain in the ass. Not to mention so many other questions: Where the hell do I even start?
