Purely from a physics point of view, are my actions predetermined or can I choose my own fate? : r/AskPhysics

From my own research, I understand that this is more commonly a philosophical question. But I hope that I have rephrased it enough to be answerable using only our current understanding of physics. My alternative clickbait title was "Is life more like a movie or a video game?" Free will is a philosophical term. Predeterminism is slightly more definable, I believe? Obviously our actions are shaped by our background, our environment etc., but I'm not asking whether our choices are random. When I wake up tomorrow and choose whether to eat toast or cereal for breakfast, even if toast is 90% the most likely outcome, do we know if whatever choice is made was always set in stone? I've heard that time might exist all at once, both the past and future. That our universe is like a block of cheese, or like the physical film reels. Are we just passengers in a pre-recorded movie that always ends the same way? Or is our universe more like a video game, where there are only so many actions and some ar
