The year after I went on the job market (academic, byzantine, and weird) an economist I greatly admired agreed to meet with me about my job market paper. I wanted his advice on what to do about the serious and terrible flaws in this paper which had been revealed many times over the course of the market. (The paper is good, don’t get it twisted.
